Hey everyone, it’s Friday! The last day of my first week interning at Terrific Portrait Studio. Already after my first week of interning, I’m starting to get into the groove of things and getting into a routine.
Using the picture we took of my self in front of the green screen yesterday and two other solid backgrounds, I edited my self into 3 different backgrounds. Here’s a simplified version on how to do that kind of edit on a still frame.
By cutting my self out of picture in front of a solid background with photoshop, I’m then able put my self into a new background. After that, I need to match the colours together in a unified way and make sure the lighting makes sense in the picture.
I also shot some video against a green screen for the first time. We tested a bunch of different lights to see what combination works the best. I learned how to use a small external display connected on the top of a camera as well.
